The Survey Design & Analysis Workshop organised by UNIDO & TOPAX at XIMB for the investment promotion officials of IPICOL, Directorate of Industries & DICs began on the 17th June and concluded on 20th June 2009. The training programme aimed at strengthening the capacity of the government officials for designing & conducting Investor Surveys in the future along with the capability of analysing the data collected from the field for generating reports as well as taking decisions to improve the quality of support being provided to the investors. The participants were also trained on SPSS which is a popular software being used for data analysis. The training was conducted as a logical step, post Investor Survey (IS) 2008 which concluded early this year. The government officials who participated in the program were an integral part of the IS 2008 survey which was conducted with over 289 business establishments.

The 4 day comprehensive training program ended with the award of certificates to the participants by Shri Ashok Meena, MD - IPICOL
